London Shri Kanaga Thurkai Amman Illam, Mannar, SL And 10th WSC conference

During the tenth conference of ULAGA SAIVA Sabai (World Saiva Council), there was the first time in it’s history, that Palani Aadheenam Honourable recluse Swaamigal insisted on Emphasizing awareness on practising and worshipping in Saiva Temples with our mother language of Tamil. Even though this was a controversial issue among Saiva Tamils it was a real turning point and a real mile stone for Tamils as Prema and many others who appreciated influenced by his insistence.

On the following day of the 10th WSC conference, Palani Aadheenam Honourable recluse Swaamigal did participate a question and answer session on this divided issue among younger Tamil pupils and again did emphasis in worshiping in Tamil Language. This was broadcasted in GTV, London by the host Mr Dhinshkumar.

On this conference, Dr Kathirkamanathan, Chairman of Mannar (SL) Sri Kanaga Thurkai Amman Temple, Mannar was honoured for his services and great help to the tamil community . He was honoured by Mr & Mrs Premachandara and we were proud to do so.

Late Mr Premachandra was presence when the temple was opened for public On 28th October 2004. Mr Prema joined hands with Dr Kathirkamanathan (chairman) and Dr Arasakon and their photo is also attached herewith.
